Job opportunity at 3D Robotics LLC (San Diego, CA)
The company I work for is looking for a full-time web developer/designer. 3D Robotics is the manufacturing arm of the DIY Drones amateur UAV community, focused mainly on open-source and Arduino-based hardware. The work would consist of migrating the current online store from Volusion to Zen Cart (which I’m not sure is a great idea, but I’m not involved in these things) and maintaining it, updating product listings and descriptions, as well as all product photography (equipment for this is provided).
Other skills that would be useful are network administration (we use NAS drives, and will be setting up a version control system for PCB design files and some testing and firmware code), C/C++ and Arduino to contribute to product development, specifically embedded systems with ad hoc wi-fi networking, and good technical writing skills for documentation and for posting on the official blog.
The work environment is very casual, most of the staff are around 24 years old. Sufficient quantities of junk food are available at most times.
